We recently had an interesting project that taught us how to compile six images into one image. Photoshop was used to get every single image to have a transparent background. There were a few tools we used such as the magic wand tool that automatically selected the defined parts of the image. But we could not use this on every single picture. For instance the sheep in the light bulb; we couldn't just use the magic wand tool the select what was needed. Instead I used both the magic wand and regular selection tool.

The definition of semiotics is the study of signs. It has a total of 3 categories; iconic, indexical, and symbolic.
- Iconic: a sign that stands for its object of resemblance to it
- Indexical: something used to point out a sign

My Symbol
This is the old Arizona Western College sign . Overs the years is changed but it still gives the same meaning. To me it is a symbol of education. A mountain that everybody climbs to better themselves.

Color Rubbing
Goals Of The Project
These are two color rub drawings that our instructor had us do one day. The goal was to try and find the meaning behind the picture. Why we chose these colors for our background, symbol, and word.
The first picture has a symbol of a girl with a green background overlapped by purple lettering. The girl overlapped with the purple letters to show she wants being educated or is interested in this program. The second picture has the number 4 and the Arizona Western College symbol. It could mean that someone is going to this school for 4years.
