Vector File Size Comparison

Goal of the project was to see the difference in file size and # of points in the vectorized images.

Simple
Has under 14000 pts and 2.1mbs
Complex

Has a total of 32,450 pts and a file size of 9.5mbs
Line

Has two points and file size is 1.6mb

Selection Tools

Rectangle Selection Tool
Selects the object in a rectangle or square shape.
Ellipse Selection Tool
Selects objects in a either oval or circle shape
Lasso Selection Tool
Allows you  to free hand your selection of and object.
Magnetic Lasso Selection Tool
Gives you a preselection of an object but may not capture entirety object. Reason is that it is dependent heavy colors.
Polygonal Lasso Tool

Allows you to select an object by making geometric shapes around it.
Magic Wand Selection Tool
Allows a precise preselection of an object but again may not capture all of it

Liquify Filter

Forward warp Tool
With the this tool it let's you move an image colors around.
Bloat Tool
Bloat tool allows you to enlarge the object in the image.
Pucker Tool
Pincher parts of an image makes it look like a very sour image.

Vector/ Rasterize Vector Logo

Before I started I had vectorized and image traced it with high fidility. After then went to window and applied raster. I then saved the image for web as a jpeg.
Same vector except I imaged traced it with 3 colors and saved it as a .gif instead. Reason I saved it as a .gif than a .jpeg is the is only two colors. Less color equals less data that's saved.
With this image I tied diffrent image traces before I rasterized. In the end high fidelity was used. Rastered the image and saved as a .jpeg to maintain image quality.
This image was very difficult to vectorize then raster without lowering image quality.First I opened the image in photoshop raised resolution to 235.5.
Then image traced it in high fidelty in adobe illustater. From there I rasterized the image and saved as a .jpeg.

JPG Compression and File size

Original
The goal of the project this week is to show the varying differences in quality and file size in the picture. At the same time we will also use the filer tool. Differences will be shown with the above picture and give different qualities using Photoshop, cutout-filter, and save for web.

Quality 100
Before I stated I filtered my image via Filter=Filter Galley and picked Cutout. I saved the image with quality 100. File size: 98kb
Quality 60
The filter is the same but I changed the image quality to 60. The is a slight difference between the image before. File size: 33kb
Quality 0
Again filter is the same and quality did change. Except now the image has greatly dimished with very poor qualty. File size: 8kb

Pen tool

Subtract Point Tool
This tool allows you to subtract points in a vector object. The photo belw shows how when you take out a point the shape changes.
Additional Point Tool
This is the addional poit tool. It adds point either keep the form of a vectorized image or change it.
